Órla Mc Govern is a Storyteller, Performer and Writer based in The West of Ireland. It was there that she founded Moth & Butterfly, an innovative arts night that combines the art forms of Storytelling & Improvisation. She teaches workshops and performs storytelling and improvisational theatre around the world. She has written numerous plays, and also works as an actor and Voice Artist. She is a member of Theatre Collectives: Theatre 57 (Galway), Project Eve (EU) and The Ohana Project (EU). Órla’s first book, Dublin Folk Tales For Children, was published by The History Press in 2018, followed by herand her second book ‘Wild Waves And Wishing Wells' in 2019. Órla creates bespoke storytelling experiences and loves to perform in unusual venues, from barge to balcony, from schoolhouse to stadium. Swimming in the sea, whenever she can, with friends brings her joy!
